Experience the magic of the holiday season in Greater Fort Lauderdale with the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade, a must-attend event that makes this time of year truly merry and bright. Now in its 54th year, the “Best Show on H20” wows spectators from near and far every December with a dazzling parade of boats and yachts decorated in illuminated lights, tinsel, and decor.
Taking place on Dec. 13, this year’s theme, “Yacht Rock of Ages,” will showcase decorated boats with a rock n’ roll theme and plenty of smooth guitar riffs and holiday lights along the way.
The boat parade organizers proudly present two co-grand marshals this year: internationally acclaimed pop artist Romero Britto and R&B singer Montell Jordan, recognized for the 1995 hit “This Is How We Do It.” Keep an eye out for Britto’s signature, colorful work on the official Winterfest 2025 poster this year, too!
Whether you vacation in Greater Fort Lauderdale every year for the holidays or if this is your first time in our slice of paradise, you won’t want to miss this festive parade on water.

VIEWING AREAS
One of the best spots to catch the show is from the official Winterfest viewing area at Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park near Fort Lauderdale beach. Adult tickets are priced at $40, while those for children 10 or younger are $35. Your ticket guarantees an afternoon and evening of festival activities, interactive games, nonstop entertainment, photo opportunities with Santa Claus, and appearances by area mascots before the main event.
Seating is available for everyone, and doors open at 4 p.m. Guests arriving by car can park at the Las Olas Parking Garage adjacent to the park, though Winterfest encourages ride-sharing.
If you don’t snag tickets to the Fort Lauderdale boat parade route, you can always gather along the Intracoastal with your lawn chair.
WHERE TO STAY
We recommend making the most of your visit to Greater Fort Lauderdale by booking a hotel with access to some of the best views of the Winterfest Boat Parade.
The Riverside Hotel is a historic hotel located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale with a prime locale along Las Olas Boulevard. It's within walking distance of the vibrant downtown area, shopping, and dining options. Its classic charm and picturesque views of the New River make it a must for parade viewing.
Hyatt Centric Las Olas provides a prime location for watching the Winterfest Boat Parade, with stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway and easy access to all the parade action. After the festivities, head to the hotel’s swanky speakeasy Rm. 901 for craft cocktails and an intimate atmosphere perfect for unwinding.

Located on Fort Lauderdale beach, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach - a DoubleTree by Hilton offers easy access to the shore and is adjacent to the Bahia Mar Marina, home of the annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Naturally, it’s a fantastic spot to watch the Winterfest Boat Parade in a relaxed, coastal atmosphere.
View the parade from 17 floors above at Pier Top inside the reimagined Pier Sixty Six. The chic surrounds feature 360-degree views, plus caviar and Champagne, making it the ultimate indoor view.

Or, post up on the rooftop at Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. The hotel usually hosts a viewing party with bites and libations for guests. There’s not a bad seat in the house! Check their website for official event details.
WHERE TO DINE
The best thing about visiting “The Venice of America” during the Winterfest Boat Parade is that you’ll never be too far from a delicious restaurant along the Intracoastal. Book a reservation in advance to ensure prime seating for the best show on the water.

Coconuts near Fort Lauderdale beach offers a beautiful view of the Intracoastal and a relaxed, Florida Keys-style ambiance.
Whether you dine before or during the parade, make Ocean Prime — the new two-story restaurant next to the Las Olas Bridge — your top pick. Grab a seat on one of the spacious outdoor terraces or cozy up inside with sweeping panoramic views of the Intracoastal. The chef-curated menu, signature hand-crafted cocktails, and a Wine Spectator–honored wine list is sure to set the right vibes.
Shooters Waterfront is an always-idyllic spot for front-row views of the dazzling parade while enjoying fresh seafood and refreshing drinks. Nearby sits steakhouse favorite Mastro’s Ocean and laidback sports bar Bokampers Sports Bar & Grill.

Farther north, take your pick between Blue Moon Fish Co., Kaluz Restaurant, and Houston’s. All are excellent options and have a great selection of juicy steaks and fresh seafood to keep you full while passing boats entertain you all night.

And don't forget about The Shorely, a 500-person ferry reborn as a luxurious lounge and entertainment hub nestled inside The Marina Village, Fort Lauderdale’s hottest hangout. It’s part of the $16 million open-air entertainment venue that has become a local favorite. Consider this to be the unofficial Winterfest Boat Parade after-party spot.
