This one day itinerary will take you along the entire Broward A1A corridor and provide you with opportunities to enjoy a few of its most popular destinations. The day will begin in the north at the Deerfield Beach Fishing Pier and end at the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. On the way, visitors will be treated to some of the most popular attractions along the Broward A1A corridor.
First location: Deerfield Beach Fishing Pier
200 N.E. 21st Ave. Deerfield Beach, FL 33441
Description: Spend an hour walking the pier and enjoying the sights of the early morning activity while watching the sun come up over the water. The pier is open 6:00 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday and around the clock from 6:00 a.m. Thursday to Sunday evening at midnight. After visiting the Deerfield Beach Fishing Pier, head south on A1A and stop by the Barefoot Mailman statue (1210 Hillsboro Mile). Then continue south on A1A to Hillsboro Inlet Park and Marina in Pompano Beach to get a view of the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse (2700 N. Ocean Boulevard). Then continue south to Pompano Beach North Ocean Park.
Second location: Pompano Beach North Ocean Park

Description: Spend a few hours enjoying Pompano Beach for sports, recreational fishing, surfing, and kiteboarding. The public beach is guarded seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
After spending some time at the beach, visit Indian Mound Park in Pompano Beach (Hibiscus Ave. and S.E. 13th St.) and head south on A1A again toward the Bonnet House. Be sure to stop at Anglin's Square (at Commercial Boulevard and El Mar Drive) for lunch in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea before visiting the Bonnet House.
Third location: Bonnet House Museum and Gardens
900 North Birch Rd (off Sunrise Boulevard), Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
Description: Spend a few hours touring the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. This picturesque estate includes a house museum, garden, and orchid greenhouse. Multiple tours of the grounds are offered to visitors throughout the day. A world class orchid event is held the first weekend of December that is worth making a visit for. The Bonnet House is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission ranges from $2 for a tram tour to $20 for adults to access both the gardens and house ($10 to access just the gardens). The final stop of the day will be at the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. The travel time from Fort Lauderdale to the Broadwalk without stopping is approximately 25 minutes. On the way to the Broadwalk, stop by the Anne Kolb Nature Center and soak in the sights from the 60-foot-tall wooden observation tower.
Fourth location: Hollywood Beach Broadwalk
Description: The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is a 2.5 mile brick paved pathway that runs along the beach east of A1A from North Beach Park to Jefferson Street. Park at the north end of the Broadwalk and spend a few hours wandering in and out of shops along the way. A trolley service provides transportation along the Broadwalk five days a week. While on the broadwalk, choose a dinner destination that suits your taste, and enjoy. End your day with one of the frequent free outdoor concerts in the Hollywood Beach Theatre.
