Activity 3: Barefoot Mailman Statue

Why go here: Learn the history and tales of the brave men who carried mail along south Florida beaches in the 1800's

Activity 2: Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse
Located on the north side of the Hillsboro Inlet near Hillsboro Inlet Pak
Why go here: Historic lighthouse that marks the northern limit of the Florida Reef
Things to know: Can access the lighthouse from Hillsboro Inlet Park; please visit www.hillsborolighthouse.org
Activity 3: North Ocean Park

Why go here: Relaxing beach full of kite surfing and families boogie boarding in the ocean
Things to know: Can spend a whole afternoon here or just stop by for a short visit to watch kite surfing athletes
Activity 4: Pompano Beach Fishing Pier and main public beach

Activity 5: Indian Mound Park

Activity 1: S.S. Copenhagen Wreck

Why go here: World famous location to snorkel and dive

Things to know: The pier is open 6:00AM - Midnight, 7 days a week. You can either fish or just watch. Snacks, drinks, tackle and bait are available for sale

Why go here: The City of Fort Lauderdale has more than seven miles of beaches that offer premier opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and enjoyment
Things to know: Fort Lauderdale Ocean Rescue supervises three miles of continuous public beach from the South Beach Picnic Area up to and including the beach in front of Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. The lifeguard towers are staffed from 9:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily
