This year, Easter Sunday falls on April 17, and all throughout Greater Fort Lauderdale, you can find egg hunts and other fun spring activities for the whole family. Here are some of the events happening before or on Easter Sunday.
When: Sunday, March 27, at 7:30 a.m.
Where: T.Y. Park, 3300 N. Park Road in Hollywood
Start the festivities early with the whole family at T.Y. Park, with a 5K run, 1-mile walk, or Easter egg hunt for the little ones. The 5K race begins at 7:30 a.m.; the 1-mile walk at 7:40 a.m.; and the Easter egg hunt at 9:15 a.m. Register here.
When: Friday, April 1, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Where: Pompano Beach Community Park sports complex, 1701 N.E. Eighth St. in Pompano Beach
Who says egg hunts are only for little kids? Teens join in on the fun by looking for Easter eggs at the sports complex soccer field in the dark of night, paired with a DJ spinning tunes, games, giveaways, and prizes. Register here.
When: Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m.
Where: Good Karma Pet Rescue, 3100 N.W. 19th Terrace in Pompano Beach
Pets can get in on the Easter action, too. Children and fur babies are invited to take photos with the Easter bunny. The fun continues with food trucks, vendors, and, of course, an Easter egg hunt. More information here

Where: Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale
This free event features an egg hunt, arts and crafts vendors, a morning yoga session, live music, selfie stations, and an egg counting contest, all on the main lawn across from the beach. The Easter Bunny brunch is available for pre-purchase and is $50 per family of four and includes a table and a brunch box with pastry assortments, fresh fruit, and more. Where: Tradewinds Park, 3600 W. Sample Road in Coconut Creek
How about adding a triathlon to your Easter egg hunt? The race offers triathlon, duathlon, and aqua bike courses for participants, with some eggs scattered through Tradewinds Park to add to the fun. Register here.
When: Sunday, April 17 at 8:30 a.m.
Where: Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 S.W. Second St. in Fort Lauderdale
This isn’t your ordinary egg hunt. The museum’s annual event not only has kids on the lookout for eggs, but also meet and greets with the Easter bunny and Florida wildlife, and egg engineering challenges like the egg drop challenge and an egg launcher. The egg hunts are staggered based on children’s ages: 9 a.m. for ages two to three; 9:15 a.m. for ages four to five; 9:30 a.m. for ages six to seven; and 9:45 a.m. for ages eight to 10. Where: Yellow Green Farmers Market, 3080 Sheridan Street in Hollywood
This Easter weekend, get the family together and visit Yellow Green Farmers Market to take a picture with the Easter Bunny at the market's new designated kids’ zone, located near CHIX BBQ restaurant. There will be a bunch of fun activities for the kiddos including a balloon artist, face painting and coloring activities. The Easter festivities are happening throughout the entire market with the majority of vendors participating, handing out Easter egg treats and baked goodies all day.

Where: The Wharf Fort Lauderdale, 20 W. Las Olas Blvd.
The Wharf, an open-air entertainment venue in downtown Fort Lauderdale, is celebrating Easter with a special egg hunt and drink specials, including $30 Chandon Garden Spritz champagne bottles between noon and 4 p.m. To RSVP, click here.
