New Restaurants Coming to Greater Fort Lauderdale

Marco’s Top Burgers

Brazilian restaurant Marco's Top Burgers, known for its large, juicy patties, is a recommended stop for burger enthusiasts. Starting as a food truck in 2018, Marco’s Top Burgers opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Pompano Beach in 2021. There are  plans to expand with a second shop in Coral Springs. Offering gourmet Angus beef burgers with all the fixings (bacon, fried eggs, and ham), Marco’s Top Burgers also brings a slice of Brazil to South Florida with unique menu items like a calabresa (Brazilian sausage) sub and a hot dog topped with corn, potato sticks, and more. Pro tip: Save room for dessert. Marco’s Top Burgers has 12 delicious options that’ll make you want to samba in your seat.

The Baked Bear

If you’re looking to cool off after a day in the Greater Fort Lauderdale sun, look no further than The Baked Bear. Coming soon to Dania Pointe, this iconic dessert shop offers monster ice cream sandwiches with original-recipe ice cream held together by fresh-baked cookies and brownies. Mix and match your favorite combinations and roll your creation in toppings like crushed Oreos or Fruity Pebbles cereal.

The Modern Rose

Voted “Best Cafe in Florida,” this chic Deerfield Beach mainstay opened a second location in Fort Lauderdale’s Gateway Plaza. While you can still find mouthwatering brunch items like the Kitchen Sink Sammie and iconic coffee drinks, including the Rose Cappuccino, this iteration of The Modern Rose will also feature nighttime tapas, beer, and wine.

With a spacious  70-foot indoor bar accommodating up to  150 guests, this high-energy eatery promises to delight with a menu featuring Italian and Italian

The Wagyu House by Meat N’ Bone

The highly anticipated Wagyu House comes from the meat purveyors behind the online butcher shop Meat N’ Bone. Opening soon on Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach, this casual steakhouse will feature an ever-changing menu with anywhere from 30 to 50 steaks to choose from, including rare steaks, wagyu, and dry-aged beef. Offerings will include more affordable cuts alongside rare, high-end finds.

Voodoo Brewery

With franchise locations in Colorado, Nevada, Ohio, and South Carolina, Pennsylvania-based Voodoo Brewing Co. has set its sights on Oakland Park for its second location in Florida. Voodoo Brewery, set to open this fall, will feature craft beers like Lacto-Cooler (a Berliner Weisse), Good Vibes (a West Coast IPA), Empty Calories (an American lager), and Where Our Secrets Go (an imperial stout). Pair your favorite brews with something off the food menu, including burgers, chicken wings, and mac and cheese.

Saiko-i Sushi Lounge and Hibachi

With plans to open in Plantation’s Shoppes at Broward plaza before the end of the year, Saiko-i’s impressive menu features 30 signature rolls, unique entrees like pan-seared Chilean sea bass, and everyone’s favorite hibachi staple: volcano fried rice.

Hurts Donut Co.

If you’re on the hunt for exceptionally good donuts, Missouri-born Hurts Donut Co. is soon opening its first Florida location in Plantation. As the outlier among all donut shops, they offer unique flavors like cotton candy, bubble gum, and Tang. In addition, with an array of cake donuts, cream-filled donuts, bars, and even fritters, this bakeshop's offerings will leave a memorable impression.

Topgolf

Slated to open in Pompano Beach later this year, this three-level golfing attraction will feature a restaurant and bar, a rooftop terrace, a patio, and 102 climate-controlled hitting bays for night-time golfing. While the menu for this venue has yet to be announced, Topgolf is known for its chef-driven menus featuring fresh twists on American classics, local specialties, and brews, along with other unexpected creations.

The Soulful Steep

Advertised as a tea house, salt cave, and emporium, this cozy spot is designed to help you channel your inner hippie. Opening in Pompano Beach’s Old Town district, The Soulful Steep will offer a host of teas blended by local herbalists alongside light bites and baked goods of the gluten-free and vegan variety. You can also expect a soothing salt cave and art and handmade furniture for sale.
