It’s always rooftop season in Greater Fort Lauderdale, where year-round sunshine and warm temperatures set the scene for clinking glasses and sharing bites from above. The region offers a variety of venues for every occasion, from happy hour and date nights to gatherings with family and friends. Here, you’re never far from panoramic views and creative cocktails. Here are some of the best spots to visit on your next trip.

Bo’s Beach

Back to Top of List

After soaking in hours of sunshine on Fort Lauderdale beach, nothing hits the spot quite like a refreshingly cold beer. Bo's Beach is the perfect watering hole for cooling off while taking in the Atlantic’s stunning waterfront views. Expect live music and drink specials throughout the week, along with seasonal events. The rooftop is a great hangout for people-watching, watching the big game, or killing time before your next nearby adventure.

Nubé Rooftop

Back to Top of List

Nube RooftopThe beach is also home to one of the most vibey rooftops on the strip: Nubé (Spanish for "cloud"). Perched 26 floors above Fort Lauderdale Beach at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, Nubé lives up to its name, offering sweeping ocean views. The concept blends an indoor restaurant with an outdoor lounge, where the cocktails are as photogenic as the ocean vistas. Sip on some Insta-worthy cocktails like the "Smoke Cloud," made with Patrón reposado tequila. The rich Havana Club-aged rum concoction, "Sky is the Limit” is another great option. The food is good here, too, with American and South Florida-inspired coastal bites that pair well with the cocktails.

Rooftop @1WL0

Back to Top of List

Rooftop @1WL0Before the rooftop scene took off downtown, there was Rooftop @1WL0, one of the first venues above Fort Lauderdale's skyline. It sits above the New River and Las Olas Boulevard, wrapped in lush greenery that gives it a more garden-escape feel than your typical open-air bar. Worth building into your rotation is the Wednesday-through-Saturday happy hour, featuring $7 spirits, $10 craft cocktails, and $8 nibbles like margherita “alla vodka” flatbread and savory buffalo chicken empanadas. Come Sunday, the vibe shifts for Sunday brunch, where bottomless bubbles are very much the main character.

Sparrow

Take the escalator to the 25th floor of The Dalmar to reach Sparrow, a rooftop lounge with panoramic views of the city. Recent updates to its programming make it a seamless transition from sunset to late-night experiences. Sunday’s “Paradise Found” transforms the close of the weekend into a sunset gathering, featuring house music, a rotating local market and snacks such as caviar grilled cheese. Wired Sound Academy also takes the stage, offering a platform for emerging DJs. The cocktail menu includes a mix of classic and inventive options, along with seven new zero-proof selections.

Hotel guests and walk-ins are both welcome to join Costa Hollywood Beach Resort’s open-air oasis with gorgeous scenes of the Stranahan River, including a gorgeous sunset. Gather the group and order a mojito pitcher with light bites for a relaxed late afternoon at one of Hollywood Beach’s most popular rooftop destinations.

G7

Staying in Hollywood? Book a reservation at the edgy G7 Rooftop for a captivating night of good eats and stylish digs. The vibe is edgy and a little glam. Think: good food, strong drinks, and a front-row seat to the Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's nightly laser shows from your table. Most nights come with live entertainment that leans Vegas-style, so don't be surprised if the evening runs longer than planned.

Pier 6 Rooftop

Back to Top of List

Farther north in Pompano Beach sits Pier 6 Rooftop, the open-air lounge on the top floor of Tru by Hilton Pompano Beach Pier. It’s a prime spot to post up after an afternoon walking the Fisher Family Pier for spectacular views of the ocean. Live music is a regular fixture, ranging from steel drums to tropical sets depending on the night. Monthly events like vendor markets and 80s night keep the programming rotating, and Thursdays come with all-day happy hour.

Beach House

Back to Top of List

Beach House Pompano BeachPompano Beach's first rooftop bar sits right up against the beach, which means there’s no shortage of oceanfront views. Pull up a seat at Beach House and order one of the four spritzes on the menu. If you're in the mood to explore, the Bartender's Delight menu serves up more inventive options alongside a solid beer list. The food menu keeps things light and snackable, perfect for grazing through a long afternoon with the Atlantic spread out before you.

The Break House

Back to Top of List

The Break HouseIf you’re a fan of Deerfield Beach’s Oceans 234 restaurant, then you’ll want to check out its sister concept, The Break House. It’s the city’s first-ever rooftop bar located steps from the Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier. The new concept pairs earthy terracotta tones with plush seating for a rooftop escape perfect for enjoying breezy signature cocktails and mocktails. Our go-tos are the “Beachy Lychee” and “Cooler Than You.”

Pier Sixty-SixZip up to the 17th floor of Pier Sixty-Six for a one-of-a-kind rooftop hangout unlike any other in the city. Following a multibillion-dollar transformation, the property’s Pier Top Lounge rotates ever so slowly, revealing sweeping views from the Intracoastal to the Atlantic as the night unfolds. Order a glass of Champagne and the caviar service for an evening that’s equal parts throwback glamour and fresh energy, with a perspective of Fort Lauderdale you don’t get anywhere else.
