With a plethora of holidays quickly approaching, there’s plenty of people to purchase gifts for – well, the ones on the nice list, anyway. From malls and outlets to flea markets and local boutiques, you’re sure to find something for everyone under the sun in Greater Fort Lauderdale.
Let’s Go to the Mall
One of the newest additions to the shopping scene is sprawling Dania Pointe in Dania Beach. Find stores like Kendra Scott and Anthropologie to Urban Outfitters and Tommy Bahama. There’s plenty of entertainment in the open-air mall, too, like the Bowlero bowling alley or the Regal movie theater — which offers multi-sensory 4D movie experiences!
You know the holiday season has arrived when the towering reindeer display welcomes guests at the entry of The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. The two-story mall in Fort Lauderdale is anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s while also offering a variety of stores from H&M and Free People to Altar’d State and Banana Republic. After a day of shopping, relax with a glass of wine from Cooper’s Hawk.
In Sunrise, get all your shopping done at one place by heading to Sawgrass Mills, which boasts more than 350 stores. This includes luxury outlets in The Colonnade from brands like Prada, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Tory Burch, Burberry and more. You’ll be able to find something for everyone on your shopping list (even the toughest to shop for!)
It might be known for its horse racing, but Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach is also a shopping destination with stores focusing on fashion and home furnishings. While you’re there, don’t miss the Symphony in Lights Celebration – a daily display of more than 250,000 twinkling lights and an hourly light show with music to get you into the holiday spirit.

The Style Mile
Bustling Las Olas Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale is known not just for its expansive selection of bars and restaurants, but also for its shopping. Ann’s Florist has been a mainstay on the boulevard and includes an impressive gift shop with tea towels, home decor, stationery, and other unique finds. Noted big name brands like Lilly Pulitzer and J. McLaughlin also call the “style mile” home. During the holidays, Las Olas also plays host to Christmas on Las Olas and the Winterfest Boat Parade travels down the New River.
Shop Small
If checking out locally-owned boutiques is more your vibe, you can support small business owners throughout Greater Fort Lauderdale. In downtown Oakland Park, The Wander Shop’s whimsical boutique has expanded from a women’s clothing and accessories brand to include items for men and children. Fashionistas can also check out tried-and-true Briny Boutique and Etiquette for the latest looks, as well as new-on-the-scene Soul Society Boutique. In Coral Springs, Corellia Gifts will help you send your loved ones into the new year with good vibes thanks to its collection of crystals, candles, accessories and other alternative healing products.
Greater Fort Lauderdale’s creator community has also collaborated to host flea markets chock- full of artwork, clothing, vintage finds, handmade accessories, homewares and other goodies that will have your friends asking, “Where did you get that?” Check out the schedules for markets like the Indie Craft Bazaar at Revolution Live and Backyard, Flamingo Flea at Tarpon River Brewing, and the Sunny Side Up Market, hosted in various locations including Wine + Garden in Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Outside the Box
You’ll find more than art and exhibits at the museums in Greater Fort Lauderdale — plenty also have impressive gift shops. NSU Art Museum carries coffee table books, home wares, art prints, puzzles, and clothing to align with the artwork on display at any given time. The same goes for the Coral Springs Museum of Art. If your loved one has a knack for science, you’re sure to find something at the Museum of Discovery and Science. History buffs are sure to appreciate a gift from the shops at Bonnet House or the Stranahan House. Find whimsical gifts and unique ornaments at the Plantation Historical Museum. Finally, why not give the gift of an experience? Get a certificate or plan an outing to any of these museums or a show at the many local theaters as your holiday gift.
