From June 1 - 30, Pompano Beach invites visitors and locals alike to experience a range of cultural events in honor of Juneteenth, including a story time session at the Blanche Ely House Museum, the Blues & Sweet Potato Pie Festival, the Southern Fried Poetry Slam, and more! 

 

Hued Songs: The Juneteenth Experience

Part of the Arts for Action: Black Voice Series, this immersive event promises to captivate audiences with a powerful piece of concert theater. Black Art Brunch

When: June 15, 2024 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Where: Victory Black Box Theatre at the L.A. Lee YMCA/Mizell Community Center

Now in its fourth year, the annual Black Art Brunch promises an unforgettable afternoon of music and art! With live performances and important “meet the artist” conversations with both established and emerging Black artists, guests will also have the opportunity to shop local vendors and sample amazing food. Tickets range from $25 - $60, with proceeds benefiting Noir Infusion Arts Projects, a pioneering venture dedicated to cultivating and showcasing the vibrant creativity of African American artists in South Florida. 23rd Annual Blues and Sweet Potato Pie Festival at Northwest Library
