Greater Fort Lauderdale is getting lit with the return of IGNITE Broward! Now in its fourth year, this 10-day festival features over 30 immersive artworks blending art, light, and technology, created by over 28 local, national, and international artists. And the best part? Admission is free, making it accessible to everyone under the sun. Read on to discover what’s in store at this vibrant, community-driven festival.

Where to Go

Bigger, bolder and brighter than ever, IGNITE Broward is set to transform three iconic locations across Greater Fort Lauderdale: Mad Arts in Dania Beach, Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale, and ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood, each offering its own vibrant atmosphere and unique experiences.

Mad Arts

In Dania Beach, festival-goers can dive into a world of creativity at Mad Arts, where immersive installations, artist talks, and hands-on workshops provide a deeper connection to the festival and its featured artists.

Fort Lauderdale will debut 12 brand-new installations, expanding from Esplanade Park to the Riverwalk, with stunning projection mapping at the former New River Inn and installations along the riverfront.

Arts Park at Young CircleIn Hollywood, IGNITE celebrates the city’s Centennial with an exciting new location that pays homage to its rich cultural heritage and community spirit. This special addition to the festival highlights the heart and soul of Hollywood, offering a dynamic blend of art and celebration.

Artist: Laura Shepherd, a digital artist exploring energy curation and virtual psychedelics.

Work on Display: Fast Track to Happiness, an immersive piece blending 2D digital acid patterns with generative art for a 3D visual experience.

 

Quantum Jungle by Robin Baumgarten (IGNITE BROWARD)Artist: Robin Baumgarten, an award-winning experimental hardware game developer and artist based in Berlin.

Work on Display: Quantum Jungle, an interactive installation using 1,000+ touch-sensitive springs and thousands of LEDs to explore the concepts of quantum physics visually.

 

Illusions of Movement by Limbic Cinema (IGNITE BROWARD)

Artist: Limbic Cinema, an award-winning multimedia creative studio based in Bristol, England.

  2. Spectra, an immersive sculpture exploring how humans interact with both natural and artificial light.
