Accessible Restaurants

Greater Fort Lauderdale restaurants create a welcoming space for every guest and champion inclusivity. Many provide amenities like wheelchair ramps, ample dining spaces, and user-friendly websites to make dining an all-around pleasant experience for everyone.

Here’s a sampling of accessibility-friendly restaurants – JB’s On The Beach and Oceans 234 in Deerfield Beach; Blue Moon Fish Co. and Aruba Beach Cafe in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea; and Kaluz Restaurant, YOLO, and Vinos on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. Those restaurants also feature wheelchair-accessible ramps, ample walkways, and seating areas.

One Fort Lauderdale restaurant goes a step further and champions inclusivity within its staff.

On the famous Fort Lauderdale boulevard that leads to the beach resides the Friendship Café next to the Las Olas Chabad Jewish Center. Part of The Friendship Circle, a local non-profit, the kosher Mediterranean restaurant and coffee bar serves lunch and dinner options, from falafel hummus plates and salads to kebab pita sandwiches and vegetarian shawarma. All the while offering training and employment opportunities to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
